Graduated from Cairo University 1980 (Faculty of Medicine) and holds an MD from Kasr El Aini school of Medicine and a Ph.D in hematology from the National Cancer Institute. I have received training and education in Egypt, France and USA and where I have shared much research about leukemia, lung disease and tumors.
During my more than 38 years in hematology, I have worked as lab director at a Military hospital in Cairo, Lab Director in Saudi Arabia in and now as a Lab director of Abbasia Chest Hospital in Cairo, the largest Chest Hospital in the Middle East (700 beds). I also run my own private clinical pathology lab.
I believe that early and accurate diagnosis is the key to cure the patient. Doctors need to read and share experience with others, because hematology is always changing and we get new and more knowledge every day.
